Position: Clinical Outreach Nurse for HIV/STI Care
Become a key member of Island Health as a Street Outreach Nurse, focusing on harm reduction and communicable disease management. This role is critical for serving vulnerable street-involved populations.

In this impactful position, you will engage with clients who are vulnerable and at high risk for communicable diseases, including HIV and STIs. With a strong emphasis on harm reduction, your work will involve direct clinical care and educational support for clients facing serious health issues. Your nursing background should include public health experience, complementing a meaningful commitment to community engagement and health improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical support for disease prevention and control

• Offer screening and counseling for STIs and TB

• Collaborate with local health services and professionals

• Educate clients about safer health practices

• Track health-related issues affecting target populations

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• At least 5 years of nursing experience; 2 in public health

• Current RN registration with BC College of Nurses

• Valid BC driver’s license required

• Familiarity with harm reduction principles
