You will leverage your 5+ years nursing background, with at least 2 years in public health, to address reportable communicable diseases. Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as an RN(C) registrant, along with STI Certification, is required. You will work on ensuring client trust and community engagement while employing a harm reduction philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide counseling and testing for HIV, STI, and TB
• Conduct public health education and community outreach
• Monitor and report health issues within the target population
• Develop professional relationships to foster client trust
• Educate clients and community groups on health practices
Requirements:
• Graduated from a recognized nursing program
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience
• At least 2 years in public health settings
• Valid BC driver's license
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Utilize your nursing expertise to improve public health and support clients’ safe lifestyle practices.
