Position: Peri-operative Registered Nurse at Island Health

In the role of Registered Nurse, you will report to the Manager and deliver specialized nursing care in the Operating Room. Your key focus will be on patient safety, optimizing care through adherence to competency guidelines, and effective communication. Collaborating with varied internal and external contacts will enhance care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to Operating Room patients

• Follow unit-program philosophy and policies

• Communicate effectively with coworkers and families

• Organize and prioritize nursing tasks efficiently

• Adhere to CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Recent experience or completed Peri-operative Program

• Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing

• Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills

• Physical ability to fulfill nursing duties
