Support Worker for Adults in Housing

Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Tenant Support Worker, delivering essential support to adults in need of housing assistance. Work during various shifts to foster tenant independence and stability.

In this casual role, you will report to the Site Manager and focus on supporting tenants through assessments, service plans, and crisis management. Your purpose will be to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing significant challenges. This impactful position requires active participation in training and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate tenant intakes and service assessments

• Create individualized service plans and manage crises

• Ensure basic needs are regularly met by tenants

• Maintain compliance with documentation and evaluations

• Supervise volunteers and students on site

Requirements:

• Community Social Service Diploma mandatory

• Minimum two years related experience required

• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector required

• Class 5 BC Drivers’ License if necessary

• Skills in conflict resolution and crisis intervention
