The Shelter Resource Worker reports directly to the Site Manager while embodying Lookout's mission and ethics. You will provide crucial support, conduct intakes, and connect guests with essential public service agencies. Crisis intervention knowledge and experience with community resources are vital to assist homeless individuals facing multiple barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and assistance to homeless adults
• Conduct guest orientation and safety assessments
• Refer guests to community services and resources
• Maintain documentation and statistical records
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
Requirements:
• Related Certificate or Grade 12 with two years' experience
• Familiar with community resources and services
• Must have Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
