Position: Lookout Housing Resource Worker
Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker in Duncan, BC. This critical role supports homeless adults, providing essential services in a 24-hour shelter setting.

This position, reporting to the Site Manager, will involve working within a diverse community to assist individuals overcoming various challenges. You will perform intakes, help guests access necessary services, and maintain a welcoming environment. Availability for flexible shifts, including days and nights, is essential for this casual role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist homeless adults and aid in daily supervision

• Conduct guest intakes and maintain a safe space

• Connect residents with public service agencies

• Document and maintain required records accurately

• Follow all health and safety requirements

Requirements:

• Relevant education or Grade 12 and 2 years relevant experience

• Understanding of addiction and mental health resources

• Current First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Two years sobriety if applicable
