Part Time Truck Driver in CVRD

Drive for the Cowichan Valley Regional District as a part time Truck Driver in Solid Waste Operations. Contribute to recycling efforts by safely collecting and hauling waste materials.

This temporary position ensures the efficient operation of Recycling Facilities. The successful applicant will assist in waste management while working up to 40 hours a week during peak summer months. Ideal candidates will possess experience in truck driving, customer relations, and safety training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate tandem axle collection trucks for waste collection

• Assist in residential and commercial waste management

• Report to management on operational efficiency

• Maintain vehicle safety and compliance standards

• Work flexible hours as operations demand

Requirements:

• Secondary School graduation or equivalent

• Two years of truck driving experience with a Class 3 License

• Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement

• Level 1 First Aid with CPR certification

• Safety training certificates are an asset
