Position: Truck Driver Needed for Waste Operations
Join the Cowichan Valley Regional District as a Truck Driver in a part time Solid Waste Operations role. Support the recycling initiatives by collecting and transporting waste safely and efficiently.

This position is key to the CVRD’s summer operations, with up to 40 hours a week available. To qualify, candidates must have relevant driving experience and customer service skills to engage effectively with the community. The role starts in June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform waste collection using tandem axle trucks

• Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols

• Engage with customers to provide assistance

• Maintain equipment and report operational needs

• Work on a flexible schedule to meet operational demands

Requirements:

• Completed Secondary School education

• Minimum two years of truck driving experience

• Current Class 3 BC Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement

• Level 1 First Aid with CPR certification required

• Safety training certifications are beneficial
