Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and prior travel experience.

• Active RN license (OK or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and a de-escalation course
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation preferred
• Experience in Level II Trauma Centers, STEMI-certified, and Stroke-certified facilities preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

• Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Open to block scheduling
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Provide emergency care for a wide range of cases including shock/trauma, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, head injuries, and cardiac emergencies
• Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergency cardiac events
• Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Experience with ortho trauma and general orthopedics beneficial
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
