American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications and a OK or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (OK or compact) required
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS required
- CPI, ISTAT, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and port access/management
- Respiratory skills required including ventilator care, chest tube assistance, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
- Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required
- Experience managing acute/chronic renal failure and multisystem organ dysfunction required
- Cardiac monitoring skills required including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with post cardiac surgery care, cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, and IV insulin protocols required
- CVA/acute stroke management experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting within a community hospital
- Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating to Med-Surg required within scope of practice
- Block scheduling accommodated
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients including post-surgical, cardiac, renal, and respiratory cases
- Candidates must reside more than 45 miles from the facility to be considered for travel rate
- Local candidates are accepted
- No restrictions on requested time off
- Pending RN license not accepted for this position
