ekatec designs and manufactures custom assembly tools, special tools and fixtures for the automotive and other industries. Our covertec line, including bits, sockets, bit holders and application-specific tools, helps OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers solve challenging assembly applications on the production line.
With engineering in Germany and our U.S. operation in Duncan, SC, we're growing and looking for a technically curious, hands-on person to support customer applications throughout the Southeast.
What you'll do- Visit customer plants and work directly with process engineers, maintenance teams and operators
- Understand assembly applications and identify access, tooling, quality and ergonomic challenges
- Gather application information including dimensions, tooling interfaces, torque requirements, photos and drawings
- Recommend standard ekatec products and work with our engineering team in Germany on custom tools and prototypes
- Support product trials and help validate solutions on the production line
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders and active customer projects
- Maintain clear customer and opportunity information in our CRM
- Help develop additional applications within existing customer accounts
- Support new customer opportunities alongside North American sales leadership
- Technical, manufacturing, engineering, industrial sales or similar experience preffered
- Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset and comfort working on a plant floor
- Confidence communicating with engineers, operators and other customer personnel
- Strong organization, follow-through and personal accountability
- CRM/ERP experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Base salary of $55,000–$65,000
, based on experience and qualifications - Opportunity to grow into a Sales Engineer position with increased commercial responsibility and commission eligibility
