Job Summary

The Restaurant/Banquet Supervisor oversees the front-of-house restaurant and banquet department of the hotel, ensuring labor and quality standards are upheld, providing a positive work environment, delivering exceptional guest service, and administering company and hotel brand policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities of the department.
  • Maintain personal connections with guests, clients, and community organizations to encourage guest loyalty.
  • Supervise restaurant/banquet team members with recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, counseling, and other team member relations issues.
  • Maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position in the department.
  • Assist with maintaining product and service quality standards by investigating issues and initiating corrective action.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory management of department-related products.
  • Assist with monitoring and upholding procedures for control of supplies, keys, money and credit.
  • Ensure department reporting is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in monitoring and upholding procedures for safety of guests and hotel team members.
  • Remains current on industry trends and local market activities.
  • Assist team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining clean lines throughout the department.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
