Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

We are currently looking for the right Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate’s actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The successful candidate’s pay is determined by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and fosters a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit from personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
