ResponsibilitiesSocial Work Adjunct faculty are required to teach Introduction to Social Work and Human Behavior courses. Teaching may occur on campus (day, evening, weekend), remotely synchronous, and/or online classes. Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, submit materials and grades on time, coordinate with Department Chair or Program Coordinator, and attend department meetings. They should also participate in professional development, be available to students outside of class, and assist in maintaining program accreditation.
Minimum Requirements- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Licensure as an LCSW-C, LCSW, or LMSW.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a social worker.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge.
- Prior online and/or remote synchronous college teaching experience.
- Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems.
- Two (2) years college teaching experience.
- Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator.
- Abides by College-wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct.
- Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population.
- Adheres to scheduled class times.
- Develops a course syllabus in accordance with program and College policies.
- Ensures that program-specific evaluation methods are administered consistently and equitably.
- Assures assessment methods are appropriate and effectively assess course objectives.
- Monitors student performance regularly and provides timely feedback.
Pay level: $1,085 per credit hour.
