Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School, located in Dundalk, Maryland, is seeking qualified candidates to become part of the team of daily substitute teachers for the  academic year. The Daily Substitute Teacher would be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students within the school in the case of a teacher or instructional assistant absence. They will follow the curriculum as provided by the principal or the absent teacher, assign homework and oversee attendance.

• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times.
• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Follow daily routine of teacher or IA and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop‑off or pick‑up as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration.
• Maintain high professional and personal standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.

• Degree in Elementary Education preferred.
• Current MSDE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and supervision preferred.
• Experience teaching in an elementary Catholic school setting is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certified preferred.
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
