Physical Therapist PT - Outpatient Ortho / Sports

Med Star Health is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at MHPT @ Dundalk
. The ideal candidate will have professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, use varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and possess strong customer service skills for interacting with patients and family members from diverse backgrounds. Effective communication is essential.

The Physical Therapist provides a comprehensive range of services, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re‑assessment, and discharge planning. The role involves accurate documentation, participation in program planning, protocol development, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Primary Duties
  • Provides evaluation services, including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporates patient and family in goal setting.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient's presentation, and evolving healthcare environment. Consults with other health professionals as indicated and documents changes requiring modification of the plan of care.
  • Completes appropriate discharge planning and follow‑up care, and accurately documents and charges for patient care activities, including baseline and goal setting, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
  • Demonstrates effective time management, meets productivity expectations, and schedules patient access through flexibility, adaptability, and empathy.
  • Takes initiative in pursuing continuing education, mentors students and volunteers, and assists with orientation of inexperienced staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required.
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
Salary Range

USD $72,758.00 - USD $ per year.
