A growing accountancy practice in Dundee is looking to recruit an Audit Semi Senior to support the delivery of external audit services across a varied client portfolio.

This role is ideal for an auditor who has already gained experience within a UK practice environment and is now looking to build confidence, technical ability and responsibility. You’ll work closely with Audit Seniors and Managers, gain exposure to a wide range of sectors and develop the skills needed to progress to Audit Senior level.

As Audit Semi Senior, you’ll support audit assignments from planning through to completion, working as part of on‑site and remote audit teams.

• Assisting on external audit assignments across a varied client base
• Preparing audit working papers and supporting file completion
• Carrying out audit testing under supervision
• Supporting audit planning and fieldwork
• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation where required
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and to agreed deadlines
• Developing technical audit knowledge and confidence

This role provides a solid foundation for progression into an Audit Senior position.

This role is ideal for:

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Be studying ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience
• Have experience working in UK external audit
• Be comfortable working as part of an audit team
• Have good attention to detail and organisation skills
• Be reliable, proactive and keen to develop
• Communicate confidently with colleagues and clients
• Be motivated to progress within public practice
