Contract Scotland are working with a well‑established main contractor to strengthen their commercial team in the North of Scotland. We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage projects from start to finish. A reputable name across Scotland, this company delivers high‑quality projects in social housing, commercial, leisure, education and public‑sector works. They have a strong pipeline of work for 2026, from Elgin to Dundee, and we welcome candidates from across the Northern region.

• Take full commercial lead on your assigned project.
• Manage cost control, procurement, valuations and reporting.
• Work closely with the site team to ensure financial performance and contractual compliance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, the supply chain and internal colleagues.
• Oversee variations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Ensure commercial governance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

• Experience as a Project QS or Senior QS within main contracting.
• Ability to operate as commercial lead on a project.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and procurement.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously.
• A proactive, organised approach and strong attention to detail.
