Works Supervisor

About the role

Works Supervisor in Power T&D business in Scotland (Dundee). The role includes participation in a 13‑week Upskilling Programme comprising health & safety, first aid, digital skills, project management, technical documentation, environmental sustainability and commercial awareness. The programme also provides project shadowing and a capability assessment to prepare for live project leadership.

• Plan and coordinate subcontracted works, setting schedules and responsibilities for contractors.
• Assist in planning and delivery of overall and wider works programmes.
• Monitor works, ensuring documentation for work activities is in place and that works are delivered efficiently and safely.
• Provide on‑site leadership and support to a small team of workers.
• Respond to incidents and implement safe systems of work.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and stakeholders.

• Previous experience in construction or related environments.
• Experience in implementing safe systems of work and managing risks and change processes.
• Experience supervising a small team.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under high‑pressure situations with a flexible attitude.
• Proficiency in O365.
• Valid driving licence.
• Hold CSCS and SSSTS or equivalent.

Training course scheduled for September; full 13‑week participation required.
