I'm currently working with a leading multidisciplinary property consultancy that is looking to add an Assistant Town Planner to its Bristol team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career planner to join an established consultancy and gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of planning projects. You'll work alongside experienced planning professionals, develop your technical knowledge and have plenty of opportunity to progress your career.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of planning work, with a key responsibility being the preparation and submission of planning applications. Other responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and coordinating planning applications.
• Supporting pre-application submissions and planning advice.
• Undertaking planning research and appraisals.
• Liaising with clients, planning officers, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Attending site visits and project meetings.
• Supporting senior colleagues across a varied project portfolio.

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related subject.
• MRTPI qualified or close to.
• Some relevant planning experience is desirable, although strong graduates will also be considered.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
• Keen to develop your career within planning and work towards professional accreditation.

• £33,000-£37,000 salary
