We are recruiting for dedicated Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Workers to deliver vital academic support.

• Exceptional Hourly Rate
  :
  Earn £28 per hour, plus an additional £3.38 per hour in accrued holiday pay.
• Total Flexibility
  :
  Select your own working hours and schedule.
• Reliable PAYE Contract
  :
  You will be engaged on a Pay As You Earn (PAYE) contract with weekly payment for all approved time sheets.

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will provide tailored learning support and academic guidance, including creating an individual learning plan to encourage students to become independent learners.

You will support students to:

• Develop independence and build on their learning strengths.
• Create essential strategies for organisation and time management.
• Formulate action plans to successfully stay on track with their studies.
• Build on crucial research skills, including widening knowledge by using a variety of sources, and correctly using references.
• Enhance comprehension skills within reading and writing.

This is a specialist role, funded by the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). Candidates must strictly adhere to the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE).2

• The 6 National Autistic Society Modules (Non-Medical Helper package).
• The Optimum Training Course (Autism and ADHD in Higher

  Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies).
• Autism training provided by the National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP).
