Management of Supplier Performance to ensure smooth flow of Capable parts to specification into NCRA plants & Repair Locations.
This position will report directly to the Supplier Quality Manager. This position requires technical expertise in manufacturing mechanical components. The role involves interfacing with NCRA sourcing, engineering, NPI, Manufacturing Quality, PPAP & other key functions to ensure that the supplier and relevant internal teams are advised on the right actions from the data collected so that the correct decisions can be made and planned.
The role requires the candidate to possess the following skill sets
• Good knowledge of sheet metal forming process and/or machining processes.
• Experience in handling supplier quality management systems
• Should possess good knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, 8D and other relevant problem-solving tools
• Should have knowledge in ISO 9001 Quality management system
• Internal or supplier system/process audit experience
• Capable of interfacing with suppliers in multiple countries.
• Excellent PC application knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PPT, Excel)
** Job Responsibilities*
* • Responsible for supplier parts quality performance of all the assigned suppliers
• Timely resolution of parts quality issues reported in the NCRA supply chain
• Effective & Active engagement in DFM manufacturing feasibility reviews during new parts development and drive proactive actions
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken timely to address part quality issues identified and ensure timely closure of 8D
• Conduct supplier assessments per plan and reporting
• Plan and conduct supplier performance review meetings & represent supplier quality team in internal meetings & global calls
• Maintain & govern supplier performance metrics data
• Support strategic projects related to supplier quality & other cross functional projects
• Supplier training on key NCRA supplier quality processes
• Drive supplier for continuous improvement
** Requirements*
* • College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline
• 2+ years of industry experience in Supplier quality assurance or supplier development environment
• Good knowledge and experience in using and applying statistical tools.
• Experience in using 8D, PPAP & Quality Problem solving tools
• Strong English communication skills both oral and written
• Willingness to travel occasionally (
