We are partnering with a highly specialised UK engineering organisation operating at the forefront of the defence, security, and advanced industrial sectors. With sustained investment, a significant order book, and the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility, the business is entering a critical phase of growth. As part of this, we are seeking an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Manager to take ownership of site-wide electrical, controls, and automation capability.

EC&I Manager- The Role:
This is a pivotal leadership role with full technical and operational responsibility for electrical infrastructure and industrial automation across a complex, safety-critical environment.
You will play a central role in:
- Shaping and delivering the site’s automation and controls strategy
- Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, building capability and driving performance
- Delivering high-value CAPEX programmes across electrical and automation systems
- Ensuring the integrity, compliance, and reliability of HV/LV distribution and control systems
- Driving optimisation of PLC and SCADA architecture to support operational excellence
- Embedding robust engineering standards, safety practices, and long‑term asset strategies

- The Person :
We are interested in engaging with high‑calibre engineering leaders who combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership in complex environments.
You will likely bring:
- A strong foundation in electrical engineering and industrial automation
, including PLC and SCADA systems - Experience operating at a senior level within manufacturing, process, or high‑hazard industries
- Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering technically complex projects
- A thorough understanding of electrical distribution, compliance, and safety frameworks
- The credibility and presence to influence stakeholders across engineering and operations
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to operate effectively in evolving environments
- Exposure to regulated environments and safety‑critical operations will be advantageous.
Located in Ayrshire, this role would be commutable from Irvine, Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr and Glasgow. Relocation assistance can be provided.
