The Role

The Finance Manager position offers a broad and dynamic remit, providing exposure across all areas of finance. The role will be closely supported by an experienced Finance Director, who will play an active and hands-on role during the first 6 to 12 months to ensure a thorough and well-structured induction. As the Finance Manager becomes fully embedded within the organisation and confident in their remit, the Finance Director will transition to a more strategic and commercially focused role, working closely with the Board on high-level priorities, creating an excellent development pathway for the successful candidate.

The key components of the role will include:

• Support the SLT to aid decision making and direction through financial analysis
• Hiring, training and development of a small but highly performing finance team
• Production and presentation of management accounts
• Assisting with statutory accounts & returns
• Annual audit preparation including liaising with external Auditors
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
• Maintaining & reconciliations of balance sheet, fixed assets and ledgers
• Assisting with VAT & taxation returns
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control & payroll
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engage with candidates that can demonstrate a strong blend of both management and financial accounting. Supervisory or people management experience is also essential.

The employer is open to exploring applications from both qualified Accountants, and those deemed qualified by experience.
