Quality Improvement Manager
Circle Decontamination - Head Office
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary:
Up to £56,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Improvement Manager to join their team of staff in the Senior Management department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and embedding of quality improvement frameworks across Decontamination Services.
  • Ensure decontamination processes consistently meet national standards, legislation, and best practice (e.g. HTM 01-01, CQC).
  • Provide expert oversight of decontamination governance systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and support audit programmes, including internal audits and self-assessment frameworks.
  • Drive standardisation of decontamination processes, documentation, and quality controls across sites.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to Decontamination Managers, Trainers, and operational teams.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Significant experience working within Decontamination Services, Sterile Services, or a closely related regulated healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of decontamination standards and legislation (e.g. HTM 01-01, CQC requirements).
  • Proven experience in quality improvement, governance, audit, or risk management.
  • Experience leading or supporting inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance activity.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and identify trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and support teams to improve standards.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
