Consultant in Neurology

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Neurology team and work in one of the UK’s most rapidly developing cities.

Applications are invited for the above post based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. This is a 4-programmed activity (4 PAs) fixed term in the first instance Consultant post. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute towards the current delivery of General Neurology out-patient clinics.

The Clinical Neurosciences Department provides neurological services for Tayside and NE Fife, serving a population of over 500,000. It includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuropsychology and the Chronic Pain Service. There are at present 6 NHS and 3 Academic Neurologists; and 1 Neurophysiologist.

Tayside and NE Fife offer attractive amenities, housing, schools, universities, and access to outdoor activities such as fishing, hill walking, skiing, sailing, and more. Dundee waterfront continues its redevelopment and is home to a new Eden Project.

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the date of interview for the post.
