Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team delivering high‑quality, person‑centred end‑of‑life care. You’ll work closely with patients and their loved ones, supporting their physical, emotional, and practical needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
What we’re looking for- Experience in a health or social care setting, ideally with palliative or end‑of‑life care
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- A kind, empathetic approach and excellent communication skills
- Ability to support personal care, mobility, nutrition, and comfort needs
- Willingness to work flexibly, including nights and weekends
- Commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and patient choice
- Salary: £26,696 - £28,988 pro rata (aligned with AFC) + Island Allowance
- Contract:
Permanent 22.5 hours per week - Based:
Community based – Orkney, Scotland - Annual leave allowance 27 days plus 8 public holidays (pro rata)
