Fixed Term for 12 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join NHS Tayside as Team Lead Occupational Therapist within Neurosciences. This senior role provides leadership across specialist clinical areas including neurology and neurosurgery.
Based primarily within Ninewells Hospital, you will lead and support the delivery of high quality, evidence based Occupational Therapy services for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. You will manage a complex clinical caseload, delivering advanced assessment, intervention, and discharge planning across acute settings.
As Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing the neurosciences Occupational Therapy service. This includes driving service improvements, embedding best practice, supporting the development of new models of care, and strengthening collaborative working across acute and community pathways. Additionally, there will be opportunities to contribute across, not only the neuro, but stroke pathway, delivering clinical and professional support within acute, rehabilitation, and community services as required.
Strong leadership, communication, and advanced clinical reasoning skills are essential. You will demonstrate excellent prioritisation, organisation and time management skills. A key aspect of your role will be the supervision, support, and development of junior staff, non qualified support workers and students, fostering a positive team culture and maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Essential requirements include HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist and significant post registration experience within neurosciences.
