This is an opportunity for an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside.

Applications are invited from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a busy diagnostic department undertaking 400,000 investigations per annum in the Microbiology Laboratory at Ninewells Hospital.

Applicants must have, an HCPC approved degree in Biomedical Science which is acceptable to the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and have successfully completed an IBMS registration portfolio. Candidates must have the ability to work as part of a team. This post is within the 7-Day team in Virology who work 3 days on-off shifts, including weekends & public holidays. The shift timings are 08:00am to 19:15pm.

The Department is approved by the Institute of Biomedical Science and NHS Education Scotland as a training laboratory. The department has UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 standards.

Remote interviews are not available due to there being a practical aspect to the interview.
