Primarily servicing the hyper-acute stroke unit, the role requires covering general medicine and surgery in acute services. What you will do:

  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy for patients with acute dysphagia within Ninewells Hospital.
  • Collaborate closely with the hyper-acute stroke unit and extend support to general medicine and surgery departments.
  • Work within the high dependency unit, bringing your expertise and compassionate care to complex cases.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and discussions to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Contribute to and deliver training sessions for staff, enhancing team knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
