Clinical Radiology, Ninewells Hospital with Tayside Rotation Specialist MRI Radiographer, Band 6 or MRI Radiographer Band 5 Annex 20 Depending On Experience Full time, permanent postWe wish to recruit a knowledgeable radiographer to join our dedicated Tayside MRI scanning team.
This post will appeal to a suitably qualified radiographer with MRI experience or an interest in MRI, however, this post also provides an opportunity for a newly qualified radiographer to commence their radiography career with a built in route to advancement. New graduate radiographers will be supported to develop the skills and competencies which will allow them to operate as autonomous practitioners with limited supervision of their clinical work.
In accordance with Agenda for Change Annex 20, skills to perform autonomously at Band 6 level must be developed within 12 to 24 months after starting employment at Band 5 level.
We actively encourage staff to pursue additional responsibilities and post graduate education within a friendly and supportive environment.
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake training in the administration of contrast media and foreign body orbit x- ray reporting.
Applicants must hold an appropriate diagnostic radiography qualification and be HCPC registered.
The hours will be 36 hours per week.Flexible working patterns are required to cover extended operational hours across all Tayside MRI sites.
This will include Saturday and Sunday working but there will be a requirement to cover some weekday and evening shifts as part of a rota system including 12 hour days at any of the sites and take part in any on call rota. Although the advertised post has Ninewells as the base hospital, there will be rotation to the other Tayside MRI Departments.
Induction and training will take place across all the MRI sites in Tayside.
