A specialist case management and rehabilitation company providing Support Work, Case Management, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Medico Legal services to children and adults across North East England, North West England and Scotland are Seeking a Rehabilitation Support Companion to join their team. They are driven to help clients recover skills lost through complex life-changing conditions, so they can live meaningful, rewarding lives.
You will be required to work with our 26-year old client with Acquired Brain Injury. He was involved in an incident when he was 12 years of age and although he is very independent in most areas, he requires support to keep him focussed on some aspects of daily living.
This post would suit an active lover of the outdoors. You will assist our young client to access the community and engage in activities of interest to him. A sense of humour would be essential and someone who is able to go on long walks or just kicking a ball around in the park. Our client has almost completed all the Wainwright walks and is ready for more challenging hikes.
He also doesnt mind the slower pace of life and enjoys the occasional cuppa and cake!
Flexible shift patterns are available - Days, afternoons, some evenings and weekends.
As Rehabilitation Support Companion your duties will include supporting our client to access the community and engage in social and leisure activities, following therapy programs, maintaining and completing household duties, budgeting skills, attending appointments and prompting with daily medication administration.
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Companion with:- Previous experience working in a support worker role.
- Driving licence and car owner is essential due to the nature of the role.
- NVQ / Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course.
