An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join our band 6 development programme in Dundee.

This post is part of a team of Specialist Physiotherapists working within the respiratory and surgical pathway, which spans both inpatient and community settings. Together the team provides a varied and rewarding service across multiple specialties including:

• Acute Surgical (Colorectal, Upper GI, Hepatobiliary, ENT, Maxilo-facial and Vascular)
• Critical Care (ICU, Surgical and Medical HDU)
• Medical Respiratory
• Pulmonary Rehabilitation
• Cystic Fibrosis and Complex Infection
• Outpatient Respiratory Services

Depending on service need and individual development goals, the post may offer the opportunity to rotate across these specialties
.

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interventions across the range of clinical areas. You will develop and implement therapeutic programmes and discharge plans that support recovery and continuity of care. Working within a 7-day service model, you will contribute to patient flow and enhanced outcomes. In addition, you will supervise and support junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Your role will also involve active participation in Clinical Governance, service development initiatives, and the integration of evidence-based practice. Following appropriate training, you will undertake respiratory on-call duties.

Applicants should have previous experience in at least some of areas covered, as well as a strong interest in developing skills across the respiratory and surgical pathway. This is an excellent opportunity to build and consolidate specialist clinical skills within a supportive team, whilst making a real impact on patient care.
