NHS Tayside's Women, Children and Families (WCF) Pharmacy Team is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic and supportive service.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work across a range of specialist clinical areas including Paediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. The successful candidate will contribute to specialist services including paediatric systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and neonatal parenteral nutrition (PN), while developing expertise within a highly regarded multidisciplinary environment.

We are seeking an ambitious pharmacist who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and improving patient outcomes. Working as part of our experienced WCF Pharmacy Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines across our specialist services.

The successful candidate will work closely with Paediatric, Neonatal, Obstetric and Gynaecology multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery and development of clinical pharmacy services. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the Paediatric Formulary Pharmacy Team, supporting the development of medicines guidance, clinical guidelines and formulary resources to ensure safe, practical and patient-focused prescribing.

In addition, you will contribute to medicines governance activities across Women's Services, supporting the review and development of governance documentation and helping drive service improvement initiatives across the directorate. You will also work closely with our Women's Services Pharmacy Technician, supporting a well-established technician-led medicines management service within Women's Services.

• Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services across WCF specialties.
• Provide expert medicines advice to multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers.
• Support safe and effective prescribing and medicines optimisation across clinical areas.
• Utilise your Independent Prescriber qualification, or develop towards its application within clinical practice.
• Participate in service development, quality improvement and medicines governance initiatives.
• Contribute to education and training activities within pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.
• Actively develop across the four pillars of advanced practice through a structured job plan and professional development opportunities.

The post holder will initially be line managed by the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Women, Children and Families and will receive comprehensive support within a welcoming and collaborative team environment.

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• A Registered Independent Prescriber, or currently working towards this qualification.

• Able to work autonomously within their scope of practice, exercising sound clinical judgement while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams and service development, with appropriate support available when required.
