Overview
Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant
- Permanent role
- Fully remote within the UK
- Salary up to £85,000
We’re hiring a Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to join a growing Microsoft partner that’s doing things properly. This is a permanent, fully remote role, working with customers across the UK on genuinely interesting Business Central projects.
You won’t be stuck doing one small piece of delivery over and over again. You’ll be involved from the early conversations and discovery sessions, right through to go-live and post-implementation support. If you like having a voice in how solutions are designed and don’t want to just be told what to configure, this should be right up your street.
The team is collaborative, sensible, and low on ego. They care about delivering things well, not ticking boxes or rushing projects out of the door.
What You’ll Actually Be DoingDay to day, you’ll be working closely with customers to understand how their business really works, not just how they think it works. From there, you’ll help shape Business Central to fit their needs while still pushing best practice where it makes sense.
That includes:
- Running discovery sessions and workshops with finance teams and operational stakeholders
- Translating business requirements into clear, workable Business Central solutions
- Configuring Business Central across core areas like Finance, inventory, supply chain, manufacturing, or projects
- Challenging existing processes and helping customers modernise rather than recreating legacy systems
- Supporting data migration, testing, UAT, and go-live activity
- Delivering training that actually makes sense to end users
- Working closely with developers on extensions, integrations, and ISV solutions
- Getting involved in pre-sales when needed, whether that’s solution design, scoping, or the odd demo
- Supporting customers after go-live and helping them continue to get value from the system
This role suits someone who’s comfortable owning their work and dealing directly with customers. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to be confident in your Business Central knowledge and happy explaining things in plain English.
Ideally, you’ll have- Solid experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV, either in consulting or an in-house role
- A strong grounding in Finance, plus experience in at least one other Business Central module
- Experience working on cloud ERP projects
- Confidence working with stakeholders at different levels of a business
- A practical, solution-focused mindset rather than a textbook approach
- Good organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects without drama
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications
- Experience working for a Microsoft partner
- Exposure to ISV solutions or more complex integrations
- Multi-entity or group finance experience
- Some involvement in pre-sales or solution design work
