The Junior Buyer position is a fast-pacedrole thatassiststhe Materialsteamwith the procurement function. This position is designed tobe an entry level position focusing on implementing andstabilisinga robust and compliant indirect purchasing processwhilst building strong foundational capability insupply coordination, systemaccuracyand purchase process compliance.

Raise and issue indirect purchase ordersin linewith company policy while ensuring accuracyandcomplying withapproval limits.

Obtain order confirmations and update purchase orders accordingly.

Monitor andproactivelyfollow up on open purchase orders to ensure on time delivery and communicate delays or issues with requisitioner.

Coordinate collections at suppliers in conjunction with the approvedlogisticspartners.

Ensure goods receipt is completed accurately and promptly.

Investigate and resolve invoice queries.

Developandmaintaineffectivesupplier relationships and act as firstpoint of contact for supplier queries.

Liaiseand collaborate closely with other internal departments.

UsingERPsystem,ensuring all standard work activities are executed in a timely manner.

Participate in Continuous Improvement tasks and projects as requested and champion change.

Support the materials department in general administrative activities.

Demonstrate engagement inparticipatingin lean activity, 5S, process efficiency improvements, Kaizeneventsand other companyprocess.

Anyadditionaldutiesasrequired

Ability to manage your tasks andprioritiseworkload and followinstruction wheregiven.

• Competent MS Office applications user, especially Excel;
  
  ERPknowledge(Oracle experience preferred but not essential).

Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement is an advantage

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Self-motivated,pro-activeand open to learn new activities
