What does a Marketing Analyst do?
The scope of a Marketing Analyst’s role involves analyzing, understanding, interpreting and manipulating numerous types of sales-related data. This will include customer demographics, performance of marketing campaigns and promotional material, performance of sales and market depth and penetration. Marketing analysts are also responsible for preparing and delivering the results of market research campaigns which involve customer surveys, focus group activities and questionnaires, with the aim of assessing the success of the brand’s position and understanding better the customer base.
Marketing analysts also work with raw data and statistics to analyze market trends which assists in identifying opportunities for the sales division.
- Partnering with wider marketing team and other internal stakeholders to identify opportunities
- Data extraction from various sources for analysis
- Conducting competitive research and analysing data
- Interpreting complex data to create and deliver effective, insightful presentations
- Analyzing and assessing different data sources to build insights and recommendations that support business strategies and objectives
- Optimising campaign performance and driving customer acquisition
A Marketing Analyst’s primary responsibility is to gather, analyze, interpret, manipulate and visualize raw, key data to help their brand plan successful marketing and sales campaigns and to better understand the success of all executed campaigns.
