General Surgery Primary and Secondary Care Up to 36 hours Working Hours/Days Negotiable (Opportunity to work condensed hours)We are seeking a motivated and experienced nurse to join our colorectal and stoma service as a Primary and Secondary Care Colorectal/Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist
.
This innovative role which has been seen as an exemplar across NHS Scotland will bridge care across hospital and community settings, providing expert clinical support to patients with stomas. The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including GPs, pharmacists, consultants, specialist nurses, allied health professionals and administrative teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
The successful candidate will lead proactive patient reviews, support medicines optimisation, provide education and self-management support, and contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register. You will have evidence of continuing professional development being educated to degree or working towards and working in a relevant speciality. You will be involved in collaborative working, therefore, strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must be able to travel across Tayside as the post may involve community working and education.
