Overview
Campsite Warden – Hope Valley
£25,583 to £26,403 per annum (pro rata)
Responsibilities- Guiding and supervising visitors to the campsite and holiday accommodation.
- Enforcing rules and maintaining safety on site.
- Cleaning of the shower, toilet block, and camping pods.
- Dealing with telephone and email enquiries and reservations.
- Co-ordinating changeover days with the cleaning contract provider.
- Collecting camping fees and managing the cash.
- Answering out-of-hours calls to manage queries from campers and attending emergency callouts.
- Deputising for the Campsite Manager as required during annual leave, sickness, and other absences.
This is an annualised-hours post of 891 hours per annum, with more hours worked during busier periods of the year. The exact distribution of hours may vary due to school holidays and operational requirements.
- April to August: 27 hours per week.
- September to October: 15 hours per week.
- November to February: 7 hours per week.
- March: 15 hours per week.
Working pattern includes Fridays (of which a minimum of 1 shift per month will be evening shifts), evenings, and weekends (2 weekend shifts per month, 1 of which will be a Saturday).
The CampsiteNorth Lees Campsite is located in the sheltered Hope Valley, 1.5 miles north of Hathersage. It is within short walking distance of numerous world-class climbing, bouldering, cycling, and walking routes. The campsite is the ideal base for those seeking quiet outdoor recreation and for visitors wishing to explore the Peak District National Park. The nearby woodlands, farmland, and moorland are managed for conservation and form part of our Stanage-North Lees estate.
