• Running the café independently during its daily 3‑hour opening, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents.
• Preparing and serving simple café‑style food (breakfast items, toasties, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and heating/serving brought‑in meals).
• Operating the hot drinks machine and presenting food safely and attractively.
• Delivering excellent customer service, engaging positively with residents and visitors, and helping to drive sales.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation in line with food safety, COSHH, health & safety, and environmental guidelines.

• Confidence working independently and managing daily tasks without supervision.
• A friendly, approachable manner with a passion for great customer service.
• Awareness of (or willingness to learn) key safety and compliance responsibilities.
• A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to create a positive experience for everyone who uses the café.
