Ballintaggart Retail Manager - Dundee Area

Due to exciting expansion, we are looking to recruit for a pivotal role within our team - Retail Manager.

Our retail spaces are thoughtfully designed and filled with passionate team ready to share with customers their knowledge of exciting Scottish producers.

This role will cover 3 retail locations across the Dundee area - Dundee City, Broughty Ferry and Newport-on-Tay. However, you will work closely with the Retail Management team in the Perthshire area to support across all retail locations in particular during periods of holiday cover.

Retail Managers are responsible for the for the smooth daily operation of the stores, sales, and team, reporting into Head of Retail.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Being an ambassador of Ballintaggart and our brands
• Leading by example in terms of customer service, skills and product knowledge - aiming to constantly set the best example & inspire our team!
• Assisting in the creation and delivery of staff training including product & suppliers, SOPs as well as coffee and till systems.
• Working collaboratively with senior retail team regarding instore merchandising and window displays.
• Manage sales targets and generate ideas to boost revenue
• Direct line management for up to 15 retail team members
• Planning and management of rotas and holiday planner
• Tracking wastage and recording this accurately
• Effective stock management including end of month stock takes
• Management of all Health & Safety and compliance in stores.
• Placing and managing weekly orders.
• Managing weekly banking and change process
• Responsibility for arranging store maintenance, ensuring repairs are dealt with swiftly and escalated to Head of Retail where required.
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Assisting in the development of the product ranges throughout the stores and online

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years Retail or Hospitality Management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A strong eye for detail and maintaining high standards
• Experience working with premium food & beverage is preferred but not essential. Passion for the sector will greatly aide suitability for the role.

An instore presence is crucial for this role and will require you to work across all shop locations including regular weekend working.
