Germany/Holland Printed Packaging Sales Executive
This role is for an experienced Printed Packaging Sales executive based in Germany or Holland, responsible for selling printed packaging to the Films/Music/Multi‑Media, Cosmetics, Toiletries & Personal Care sectors. The position involves developing business in new markets, growing market share, creating and implementing sales strategy, and maintaining global coordination of sales activities.
Responsibilities- Drive business development activities in allocated countries, taking responsibility for the commercial aspects of pitches and implementation.
- Develop and lead new business activity to grow revenue following annualised budgets and strategic business plans.
- Ensure inclusion in RFQ activity, achieving sales targets and growth expectations.
- Maintain agreed gross profit ratios for existing and new business, reviewing performance on a 6‑month basis.
- Manage setup costs, budgets, and resources efficiently.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with customers to grow the value proposition and service offering.
- Lead and implement Key Account Strategy and Key Account Plans, reviewing them every 6 months.
- Provide leadership to the sales and customer services team, ensuring necessary disciplines around customer visits and contact reports.
- Stay abreast of the organisation’s global technical capabilities and maintain awareness of developments in sales techniques and technology.
- Develop and control budget for financial targets, ensuring necessary financial controls comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor competitive landscape and coordinate activities with the Sales Director to maximise value.
- Report activity monthly to the Sales Director and keep assigned accounts up-to-date in CRM.
- Drive business development in allocated countries, managing all commercial aspects of successful pitches.
- Undertake activities for other markets when appropriate.
- Support incremental growth opportunities with existing clients.
- Identify and follow through on opportunities to develop the service offering.
- Deliver on target and budget numbers with agreed profitability levels.
- Experience with RFQ processes across consumer markets.
- Strong ability to create, develop and manage multi‑level customer relationships.
- Track record in new business pitches, account management and customer care.
- Understanding of artwork and pre‑press workflows for packaging.
- Relevant experience and client relationships in Consumer Packaged Goods at senior level.
- Strong customer‑facing presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiating skills and experience.
