Job Description

RequirementsYou will have 60 relevant credit points towards the first year of social work degree or equivalent (at SCQF level 7 or above, e.g. an HNC or SVQ Level 3 in a social care or social sciences field).
ResponsibilitiesYou will support services and undertake assessments as required to establish unmet need in accordance with our eligibility criteria. Work alongside and under the direction of a senior or professionally qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
The IndividualYou will have experience of working with relevant service user groups. You will have good oral and written communication skills, understanding of issues affecting relevant service group, good planning and organisational skills and commitment to maintaining high standards of care. You will be able to work flexibly between 8am and 8pm. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
