Ceredigion Council – Adult Social Work Opportunities Multiple locum opportunities | Hybrid working | Up to £40 per hour We’re currently recruiting for experienced Adult Social Workers and AMHPs to join Ceredigion Council across a number of teams. There are three different opportunities available , so whether you’re looking for a full-time Adult Social Work role or something more flexible, there could be an option to suit you.

1. Adult Social Worker – Triage & Assessment Team Rate: £39.35 per hour Umbrella

Hybrid Ceredigion Council is looking for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their friendly and supportive Triage & Assessment Team . You’ll be working with adults across Ceredigion, undertaking face-to-face visits, assessments and case management responsibilities , alongside the usual duties associated with an Adult Social Work role. The team is well established and supportive, with this position providing some additional capacity due to an increase in demand.

This would suit an experienced Adult Social Worker who is confident working autonomously, managing a caseload and undertaking assessments and visits.
2. AMHP – Mental Health Service Rate: £40 per hour Working pattern: 1–3 days per week Preferred days:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Location:

Ceredigion We’re also looking for an experienced AMHP to support a Mental Health service in Ceredigion. The client's preference is for someone who can work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday , although they are also happy to consider candidates who can commit to one or two days per week . This is a great opportunity for an experienced AMHP looking for a flexible locum arrangement within a supportive local authority service.

3. Adult Social Worker – Planned Care Team Rate: £30.50 PAYE / £39.35 Umbrella per hour

Ideally 37 hours per week

Contract:

Long-term, initially until April 2027 We’re looking for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join Ceredigion Council’s friendly and supportive Planned Care Team , based at Penmorfa in Aberaeron . The team is fully staffed and settled, with this role providing some additional capacity due to an increase in workload and a backlog of reviews . You’ll primarily be working with older adults , reviewing Care and Support Plans and ensuring people continue to receive the right support to meet their needs.

You’ll also undertake the usual associated Adult Social Work duties, including:
Assessments and reviews Care and Support planning Case management Working alongside families and carers Liaising with health and other partner agencies Ensuring individuals receive appropriate support to meet their assessed needs What you'll need For the Adult Social Worker positions, you will need: A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker A recognised Social Work qualification Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one 3 years' referencing history A full driving licence and access to a car For the AMHP position, you will need to hold the relevant AMHP qualification and current registration .
