Our client is a market-leading professional services firm recognised for delivering exceptional service to an extensive client base across multiple industries. The Finance department is made up of an experienced Finance Director, Financial Controllers, Assistant Accountant, Credit Controller, and four Finance Assistants, creating a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls while contributing to ongoing process improvements and business performance.
Aboutyou
- Qualified Accountant with a recognised professional qualification
- Previous experience within a professional services environment, such as legal, consultancy, accounting, or a similar sector
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop finance teams
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Lead and support the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage budgeting, payroll and workload planning across the finance function
- Oversee banking activities, reconciliations and day-to-day financial operations
- Coordinate the annual audit process and statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and other regulatory obligations
- Prepare management reports, financial analysis and provide ad hoc support to senior leadership as required
