X Support Worker​/Driver SOUTH Ayrshire - EG South Ayrshire

2 x Full‑Time Support Worker/Driver – Dundonald, South Ayrshire

To join an existing team. Each post will be 28 hrs and 1 x 10 hr sleepover / waking night per week on a 4‑weekly rota. Days will include day shifts, backshifts, overnights and weekends on a rota system. Days and times to be discussed at interview.

Rate of pay: £15 per hr, and 10 hr overnight/waking night will be £140 per night.

There will be a 6‑month probationary period. You will be required to work extra hours to cover for other staff A/L/sickness. Days of work to be discussed at interview.

Personal specifications: Experience in the care sector is required. Having a current Moving & Assisting Certificate is desirable but not essential, as access to training course is provided. You may be asked to assist with respite cover, which may include a paid holiday either in the UK or abroad.

• Must be a confident/competent driver.
• Must have a clean driver’s licence.

The employers are 2 brothers who live in the same household. They are both wheelchair users; both have a muscle‑wasting condition that affects their day‑to‑day needs.

Duties and tasks to be undertaken: To assist with

• Full Personal Care.
• Transfers using hoist.
• Assisting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
• Take part in training.
• Willing to undertake training as required for the driving of the wheelchair‑accessible vehicle (cost will be covered by the employer).
• Must be physically fit; this can be a physically demanding job.

Their Hobbies and interests are:

• Coaching the sport of Boccia.
• Sport (watching) and Music (going to gigs).

All successful applicants will have to undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme (cost will be reimbursed once you start the employment). Supply 2 up‑to‑date reference contacts.
