Electrical Contracts ManagerVANRATH is recruiting an Electrical Contracts Manager to work for a leading M&E Contractor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
ClientEstablished M&E Contractor with a heritage of traditional skills and values, well equipped to deliver excellence in innovation, quality, and delivery across the Northern Ireland and Irish markets. They work across residential, commercial, healthcare, education and industrial sectors.
Overview of RoleThe business has a great opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join on a permanent basis based in Belfast with site visits in Northern Ireland. The role will split time between office and site. The Electrical Contracts Manager will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, on budget and to the highest technical and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Deliver multiple projects simultaneously within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
- Create project initiation documentation, budgets, programmes and relevant H&S documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory guidance standards.
- Provide reports for meetings with managers.
- Maintain close working relationships with clients, stakeholders, sub‑contractors and internal teams to manage progress, challenges and resolutions.
- Contract supervision including issuing purchase orders, applications for payment and variation control.
- Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications.
- NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician.
- Extensive experience working as an Electrical Contracts Manager.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various electrical systems.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, to enable flow of information between those involved in the project.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts.
- CSR Gold Card.
- Full clean driving licence.
