We are partnered with a bespoke specialist contractor delivering high-quality full fit-outs and complex specialist packages within the data centre sector. With a strong reputation for precision, collaboration, and technical excellence, they operate across the UK and Europe on large projects.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in Fife.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of data centre projects, working across full fit-outs and individual specialist packages.

This position will involve regular overseas travel to project locations in Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy, typically around one week per month (spread across the month as required).

Key Responsibilities

* Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account

* Cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management

* Contract administration (including variations, valuations, and change management)

* Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts

* Financial reporting and forecasting

* Risk management and cost control

* Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients across multiple European locations

About You

We are looking for someone who:

* Has proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction

* Has experience working on data centre, M&E, fit-out projects (highly desirable)

* Is commercially astute with strong contractual knowledge

* Are confident managing subcontractor packages independently

* Is comfortable with international travel (approx. one week per month)

* Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
