This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a well‑respected, innovative multidisciplinary consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by launching a brand new office location in stunning Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a range of high‑profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are actively seeking a willing, capable Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on an array of challenging new projects.

You will be working alongside a newly‑established team of design professionals, based near the pretty, family‑friendly city of Dunfermline.

• Contributing to the design of projects and developments across the local region, and beyond
• Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
• Mentoring and supporting colleagues throughout their professional development
• Liaising with a range of clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
• Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you continually uphold the appropriate health and safety standards
• Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.

• A UK First Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant discipline)
• Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
• Demonstrable experience of working in a design‑based role, within a UK‑based consultancy or Local Authority setting
• Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
• Experience of earthworks design and drainage network modelling
• Proficient in the use of various software systems (including Civils 3D, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Considerable experience of writing and checking a number of different technical documents
• Extensive experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
• Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• A UK Higher Degree in a cognate discipline
• Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments and Transport Assessments
• Experience of leading projects/teams
• Experience of working in a public‑facing role
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
