Engineering Design and Manufacture Graduate Apprenticeship – Electrical Engineering

This 4-year Engineering (Design and Manufacture) Graduate Apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to contribute to some of the UK’s most important defence programmes, while working towards a BEng (Hons) degree and building a rewarding career in Electrical Engineering.

About the programme

Join a skilled engineering team working across a diverse range of platforms, including ships, submarines, and land-based facilities. Throughout your apprenticeship, support a variety of projects, working alongside specialists and gaining insight into the technologies powering some of the UK's most complex engineering programmes.

As part of the Marine Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) and Mission Systems (MS) Group, rotate through different teams and projects, building an understanding of how the different electrical systems are developed, integrated, and supported. Gain experience with power and control systems, navigation, communications, and mission-critical technologies to discover your interests and strengths.

Supported by experienced colleagues, contribute to feasibility studies, tackle obsolescence issues, problem solving and systems integration on various platforms. This experience will help you develop a strong understanding of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation and Mission Systems engineering in a marine environment.
